Find out general principles, requirements and timeframes for the Dutch market
Are you starting a company or moving a company to the Netherlands? Then the organization of your administration and financial reporting must comply with recognised international financial standards. Advice from an expert can be helpful.
Regulations also apply to the management of your annual accounts. KC Accounting has all the IFRS / GAAP / Dutch GAAP expertise in-house to compile and submit your annual accounts to the Chamber of Commerce.
What is the difference between GAAP, IFRS and Dutch GAAP?
The US GAAP (the United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) applies to companies with their registered head office in the US. IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is mandatory for listed companies in the EU. The IFRS standard is increasingly applied worldwide.
The Dutch GAAP applies to companies in the Netherlands. This term refers to the system of reporting and accounting principles that apply in the Netherlands. It is also referred to as NL-GAAP. GAAP regulations include definitions of terms and principles and industry-specific reporting rules.
Dutch GAAP has several extensive exemptions, which means that you as an entrepreneur are not obliged to audit and do not have to consolidate, and only have to publish information to the Dutch Chamber of Commerce to a very limited extent. By applying for the exemption, you save considerably on accountant costs!
